September 5, 2018, Pittsford, NY — Time To Ride®, the equine industry initiative created to encourage and champion the growth of the U.S. horse industry, is pleased to announce the launch of its newly redesigned website. Designed for smart phone, tablet and desktop use, TimeToRide.com features an approachable, friendly look and feel with updated colors and graphics.
The purpose of Time To Ride is to attract new people to horses and horseback riding. TimeToRide.com serves to connect “non-horsey” consumers with equine professionals. Horse people can register their businesses and events on TimeToRide.com using the newly simplified process and are welcome to use marketing materials and tips found on the site, all for free. Registration includes a map listing so that consumers looking for horse-related activities can search by zip code or other criteria for equine facilities and activities in their area.
For consumers, the business search and map features have been streamlined to enable them to connect with horse businesses and events in their area more quickly and easily. Consumers will also find expanded general horse information on the new site to help them prepare for their first equine encounter.
The Time To Ride Challenge, which rewards equine professionals for attracting newcomers to their facilities, remains the cornerstone of Time To Ride. All registered businesses are encouraged to host Challenge events and list them on TimeToRide.com. The 2018 Challenge runs through November 15, so there’s still plenty of time to host events.
“Making the Time To Ride site more user-friendly was one of our top priorities,” said Molly O’Brien, Time To Ride Program Manager. “We were able to build on the excellent work done earlier and create an inviting site that’s simple and straightforward for equine professionals and consumers to use.”
Time To Ride is managed and funded by the American Horse Council Marketing Alliance. The Marketing Alliance was founded by a consortium of equine-related corporations and organizations to encourage and support the growth of the U.S. horse industry. Current members of the Marketing Alliance include: Active Interest Media, American Association of Equine Practitioners, American Horse Council, Boehringer Ingelheim, Farnam, Morris Media Network, The Right Horse Partnership, Platinum Performance, Purina, US Equestrian, and Zoetis. Additional support is provided by Absorbine, American Paint Horse Association, American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Equibrand, Horse Illustrated and Young Rider, and National Reining Horse Association.

SmartWaiver is a digital waiver that can be signed at your location or online from any computer, tablet, or mobile device. It takes the place of a paper release form. The Newcomer’s information is automatically added to your Time To Ride® account – no need for you to manually enter each attendee.
Smartwaiver can help you save a lot of time, money, and effort, make the process of competing in the Challenge easier, and make participant data management easier, more accurate and secure for you.
No, but it will save you a lot of time, money and hassle.
You’ll need to spend a lot more time on the computer after your event entering Newcomer data to get credit towards the Challenge.
Definitely! Time To Ride will set it up for you, and your visiting Newcomers will be able to sign the waiver using their smart phones. All you have to do is show them the link.
Yes. Every Newcomer who has a smart phone can sign the waiver.
Yes, if you have WiFi. You need either WiFi or cell reception to access your SmartWaiver.
When you sign up for the Challenge, Time To Ride will automatically create your unique SmartWaiver and send you the link to use. No effort is required on your part.
Time To Ride recommends hanging a few signs or posters with the link clearly printed. You can simply greet visitors and ask them to type the link into their browser.
Yes. A copy will automatically be sent to you, the Newcomer, and Time To Ride as soon as it’s completed.
You can either ask each newcomer to show you the “confirmation” page that displays at the end of the signup process, or you can look in your own email account for the copy that’s automatically sent to you. It’s important to make sure Newcomers are completing the waiver so you receive credit.
You can make SmartWaiver accessible on your own laptop, tablet, or mobile device. Simply open a browser and enter your waiver’s link.
Yes! SmartWaiver makes it very easy for newcomers to complete one for him/herself and his/her child at the same time. They’ll simply enter the minor’s name and birth date, and an individual waiver for each minor will automatically be created with mom or dad’s address and contact info.
No. Whether it’s a hard copy or SmartWaiver, all waivers MUST be signed by a minor’s parent or legal guardian. The benefit of SmartWaiver is that a teacher can send the link home to parents ahead of time, and every child whose parent has completed the waiver can participate in your event and be counted towards the Challenge.
